Consultation

Unhurried time with a practitioner, given entirely to the change you have seen, what you would like, and what would genuinely help. You don't need the name of a treatment, or a decision made, to book.

Time is part of the assessment

The change you see in the mirror is rarely the whole story. A line, a hollow or a softening jaw often has more than a single source, and what shows first is not always what needs treating. Finding it takes questions, a careful look and enough time to put the two together, which is why a consultation at ART Clinic is never rushed.

That time is yours as much as the assessment's. You can tell it in your own order, change your mind about what matters most, and raise the small thing you weren't sure was worth raising. Often that detail shapes the plan more than anything else.

The consultation itself is talking, looking and planning. No needle, laser or peel is part of it; treatment comes afterwards, once you have chosen it.

How the consultation unfolds

Nothing to prepare

Step 1 of 5 · Before the day

Once you have booked, there is nothing to read up on and nothing to decide in advance. Bring what you have noticed and any questions you have been saving; the consultation starts with you.

We listen

Step 2 of 5 · To begin

The consultation opens with your account, told your way and at your length. Your practitioner listens before asking, then fills in what matters medically: your health, any medicines, and treatments you may have had in the past. They will ask, too, what you like about your face and want kept exactly as it is, because a good plan protects as carefully as it changes.

A close, unhurried look

Step 3 of 5 · The heart of the consultation

Your skin and features are examined in good light, still and as you talk, since some changes only appear with movement. Where it adds detail, facial skin is photographed with VISIA® imaging, which maps pigment, redness and texture the eye can miss. Holding up a hand mirror, your practitioner shows you what they are seeing as they go, so you can follow the reasoning at every point.

What it means, in plain words

Step 4 of 5 · Once the picture is clear

You hear what lies behind the change you noticed, and which treatments would work on it. Each option comes with what it would alter, how soon you would see it, how long it would last and what it involves, laid side by side so you can compare them on your own terms. No question is too small to ask twice.

A plan you shape

Step 5 of 5 · Towards the end

Together you settle what to address first, what can wait, and a pace that fits your diary and your budget. Your practitioner then sets the plan down in writing, with what each part costs, ready to read again at home.

The person who listens is the person who plans

From start to finish, your consultation is with one practitioner. Whoever hears your account also examines you, explains what they find and writes your plan, so nothing is lost in a handover and you never have to tell your story twice.

Every practitioner who consults at ART Clinic has been trained by Dr Priya Verma, the clinic's founder and medical director, to run a consultation the way she does. So whoever you see, you can expect the same care: the same questions, the same close look and the same patience with every one of yours.

Meet the team

The decision leaves the room with you

However the consultation ends, you go home with four things, and what happens next is your call alone.

Understanding

Why the change you noticed has happened, explained until it makes sense to you.

Your plan

Ordered, costed and in writing, to reread at home or talk over with someone you trust.

Time

A plan with no expiry date, and a consultation fee that counts towards treatment for six months.

An open line

Any question that occurs to you later goes back to the practitioner who saw you.

Start soon, book in a few weeks, or return next year when the timing suits you better: each is a good answer, and none needs explaining.

You won't be sold to, and you won't be pushed.

Consultation Pricing

The fee covers the consultation itself: the examination, the explanation that follows and your written plan. Go ahead with treatment within six months, and the fee is taken off what that treatment costs.

Questions about
the consultation

I already know the treatment I want. Do I still need a consultation?

For most treatments at ART Clinic, yes, and it works in your favour. The consultation is where the treatment you have in mind is planned around your face, your health and the result you are after. Say what you have chosen at the start, and the consultation is spent getting it right.

Can I have treatment on the same day?

For a number of treatments, yes: once your plan is agreed and you feel sure, treatment can follow straight on from the consultation. If you would like that option, mention it when you book. Leaving it for another day is just as common.

How is a virtual consultation different?

It suits anyone who lives at a distance or would rather begin from home. On a video call your practitioner hears your account, looks at your skin on screen and talks you through the options, and a plan follows. Prescription medicines are only given once you have been seen in person, so where your plan includes one, you come to the clinic to be examined before treatment begins.

Will the practitioner I see also treat me?

Often, yes. Some treatments are given by another member of the ART Clinic team, chosen for that treatment. When that happens, your plan and notes go with you, and your treatment picks up exactly where your consultation ended.

Can someone come with me?

Yes, a partner, friend or relative is welcome to join you. Some people like a second pair of ears while the options are weighed; others prefer to come alone. Both are perfectly normal.

Is what I say kept private?

Yes. The consultation takes place behind a closed door, with no one else in the room unless you bring them, and everything you share is held in your confidential medical record.
