Our Approach

Arriving with a particular treatment in mind is a good place to start. Your practitioner examines your face first, to understand what is driving the change you would like to make. When that examination shows your chosen treatment is indicated, your plan is built around it, at the measure your face needs. Every practitioner at ART Clinic works to this method, which is how a result can look natural and be clinically effective at once.

Aesthetic medicine, practised as medicine

ART Clinic is a world-class, doctor-led practice, and we work in the order medicine works in: history, examination, assessment, and then treatment.

In aesthetics that order is often reversed. The treatment is chosen first, and the face is fitted to it. Most of what people fear from this field, looking treated or paying for something that was never going to work, follows from that reversal.

So what follows is a method, not a style. Every practitioner at ART Clinic works to it, and it is the reason our results are natural-looking and clinically effective.

i History

What your skin has been through, and what your health allows, is known first. Every later decision is made in that light.

ii Examination

Then your face is looked at closely and as a whole. The plan rests on what is found there, never on what was assumed.

iii Assessment

What has been learned is drawn into one clear account of the cause, shared with you. Every option is then weighed against it.

iv A treatment

Chosen last, the treatment is matched to that cause and to your face. Coming at the end of the order is what lets it work.

Five principles, and the reasoning behind them

Each is a clinical decision, and each has a reason.

i

Assessment before treatment

Before anyone suggests a treatment, someone has to work out what is actually going on.

One concern can have several causes. Looking tired, for example, can come from pigmentation, hollowing, skin laxity, muscle movement, or several of these together, and each calls for a different treatment. Treat the wrong cause and you get either no result or a face that looks treated. That is why the examination comes first: the recommendation follows from the cause, and a recommendation matched to the right cause is one that works.

ii

Treatment chosen on evidence

We offer a curated range of treatments, and each one is here because the evidence says it works.

A treatment earns its place at ART Clinic when its mechanism is understood, its results are supported by published evidence, and we know who it suits and who it does not. That makes for a deliberately short list. We recommend what will work for you, never what is new or fashionable, and never simply what we happen to have. If the treatment that will work is one we don't offer, we will tell you.

iii

Natural-looking by design

A good result is one that nobody can point to. Your face is still the subject; the treatment is not.

Natural-looking is a clinical outcome, not a matter of luck. Faces come to look "done" for identifiable reasons: fullness added where the real change is skin laxity or skin quality; movement removed where it only needed softening; one feature treated without regard to the rest of the face. Each is a diagnostic error before it is an aesthetic one. We plan for the whole face, preserve natural movement and treat the cause, which is why the result is effective and still recognisably you.

iv

Education before treatment

You should leave understanding your own face better than you did when you arrived, and knowing why each part of your plan is there.

Consent only means something if you understand what you are agreeing to. So before any plan is made, your practitioner explains what is causing what you have noticed, which treatments will work for it and which will not, and what each can and cannot achieve, in plain language and without a pitch. Your plan is bespoke and shaped with you, and nobody can help shape a plan that has not first been explained to them.

v

No pressure, at your pace

The advice is yours to act on, and the timing is yours to choose.

A decision made under pressure is a poor clinical decision. What we want is a long relationship: a bespoke plan we come back to together as your skin changes and your priorities do, and which goes on working because of it. That is only possible if every recommendation along the way was one you were glad to have followed. So we give the advice, explain the reasoning, and leave the timing to you.

What we
will not do

A clinic's standards show most clearly in what it declines. Each of these is a decision we made in advance, so that it never has to be made under pressure in the room. Each is also a reason the treatment we do provide works.

i

We will not treat what does not need treating.

Each recommendation comes with its reasoning, set out plainly, so you can see what it is for. And because of that, you can trust a recommendation to treat: it is in your plan because it is indicated, and because we expect it to work.

ii

We will not keep adding.

Overtreatment rarely happens in one appointment. It accumulates: a little more at each visit, every step reasonable on its own. So a treatment plan reviewed over time is also reviewed for what should stop. If a treatment is no longer clinically indicated, it comes off your plan, and what remains is what is still working.

iii

We will not sell before we explain.

ART Clinic's job is to educate, not to sell. When we run an offer, a membership or a treatment package, it comes after your assessment and never in place of it. An offer can change what a treatment costs you. It never changes what we recommend.

You won't be sold to, and you won't be pushed.

What you will get is the advice we would give if we had nothing to gain from it: a recommendation made because it will work.

The doctor behind
the standard

Dr Priya Verma is the source of every principle ART Clinic works by, and she has trained each of its practitioners to practise them. She set up ART Clinic to practise aesthetic medicine with the discipline of the rest of medicine: assessed first, led by evidence, and judged on whether it works. Known worldwide as an Endolift® practitioner and trainer, she still sets the bar, and the clinic is built so that every practitioner here clears it.

The same standard, whoever you see

Dr Priya set this standard, and she trains every practitioner at ART Clinic to it. So the care you receive does not change with the person you see.

Align. Restore. Transform.

The three letters in ART Clinic's name are the method in miniature. Each word describes what a treatment plan here has to do.

Align

A plan starts by lining treatment up with the cause your assessment finds, with the proportions of your whole face, and with what you would like to change. Only when those three point the same way is anything recommended.

Restore

The aim is to bring back what the years have taken from your skin and the layers that hold it up: its quality, its structure, its support. We work with your own tissue, renewing it rather than reshaping it, which is why the change reads as you.

Transform

Aligned and restored, the result is a real change: visible, clinically effective, and still recognisably yours. That is the transformation we plan for, reached in considered steps rather than all at once.

This standard is ART Clinic's commitment to every patient, kept in every consultation and every treatment room.

Safe treatment and effective treatment are the same discipline

The right patient, the right treatment, properly performed and properly followed up: that is what makes a treatment safe, and it is also what makes it work. At ART Clinic, a full medical history comes before any recommendation. The expected result, the risks and the aftercare are explained before you consent, in plain language and not in small print. And you leave knowing what to expect over the days that follow, what to do about it, and who to call if something does not feel right.
